EXPLORE OUR TECHNOLOGY
The DIP Multiphase Flow Meter Incorporates a non-intrusive clamp-on sensor with advanced vibroacoustic technology & differential pressure analysis to provide real-time oil, gas & water flow rates without the need for separation or lab fluid samples.
The method of measurement is based on the analysis of vibroacoustic signals generated by the fluid flowing through the choke. Due to the multiphase composition of the fluid, it flows turbulently, causing uneven speeds inside and outside of the vortices, which leads to local pressure drops. These fluctuations in pressure make the pipe vibrate at its resonant frequency. The intensity and distribution of such oscillations are used as the primary source of information. The vibroacoustic signal is measured by an accelerometer and, after filtering, is converted into flow rate, GVF, water cut and fluid density. Measured differential pressure is used to calculate the mass flow rate and the velocity.
